Hello,

Yes, it's indeed possible to form a 16-bit write by forming a 1-DW TLP with the byte enable fields set to reflect the desired operation. The standard is pretty detailed about this.

16 bit data transaction ?

Post by Guest »

Hi
I would like to know if the standard prescribes any rules to perform 16 bit data transactions, we currently need this to support some older systems which use a 16bit data bus.
We could ignore half of the bus for those transactions, but still wanted to know if there is a proper way to do this.
Thanks
